Teacher Appreciation Events at Staples, Office Max and Office Depot

I can't believe it's almost that time of year again...Back to School shopping season!! Ever since I was a little girl I loved the smell of new clothes purchased for the new school year, hanging in the closet, waiting for first day of school. I can still picture a pair of black stretch jeans (probably with...gasp...stirrups) splattered with neon paint waiting for that special day! Not only were new clothes exciting but so was going shopping for new school supplies. Picking out cute folders, a new Trapper Keeper, crayons, pencils, markers, glue, etc.

Now as a teacher, I still love back to school shopping. I even buy a couple of new outfits that I keep hung up in my closet until the first week of school. My favorite part has to buying inexpensive school supplies for my classroom and my students!!!

My TPT Store is officially open!

WOW! It's been a long time since I first created my Teachers Pay Teachers store while on extended bedrest waiting for my amazing son Jaden to arrive. Today was the day that I added my first two items to my store. First, I saw an amazing quote floating around Pinterest Land and when I clicked on the link I was directed to a not so friendly website. Total Bummer! Being the creative thinker I am, I decided to use the quote and create my own poster for display in my classroom. Once I put it together, it was the first first FREE item for me to add to my store front. Please click the image below to go to my TPT store to download the free poster.
Choose Words Carefully Poster
Once I managed to get the free poster uploaded I got right to work uploading my first "REAL" item...Hundreds Chart Missing Number Activity Sheets. I used these in my Lower Elementary Montessori classroom with my 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders and I've used them with my 2nd and 3rd grade Classical Education Students. These activity sheets help students practice ordering numbers 1-100 as well as practice skip counting by 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, AND 10s. WHEW!! That's a lot! I love these activities and I know some teachers out there will too! Please check out my Hundreds Chart Activity Sheets below!

Welcome Summer!

I am officially on summer break and it's never felt better! The funny thing is I'm already working on ideas and activities for next year. I guess that's how you can tell when you love being a teacher! :) So far I've made Birthday Balloons for my class next year and I've already started working on my lesson planner as well. I <3 Pinterest!

Thanks to Christie at "Teaching in Flip Flops" for the WONDERFUL idea for the Birthday Balloons! Check out the link to her balloons here. I wanted stay classic for my own balloons so I stuck with some simple bright colors. You can click here to download the free file from my Teachers Pay Teachers store.

I am also so proud to show off my end of year gifts to my students! I found out about this amazing website called WORDLE where you can enter in any text you want (poems, stories, etc.) and Wordle will rearrange all the words into a "word cloud". You can customize the font, colors and text direction. I did this with each student's first name, last name, favorite color, favorite book, favorite movie, favorite hobby, favorite school subject, and some adjectives to describe each individual student. I saved the image, printed it as a 4x6 and put it in a frame from the Dollar Tree. (I will post pictures later tonight.) They came out SO CUTE and the kids LOVED them! They couldn't believe I knew all their favorite things. :)

I'm looking forward to a wonderful summer full of fun and new project ideas!!

Thanks for stopping by!
